Art.1 - ORGANIZATION
1.1 - Organizing Committee
The MYTHOS - PRIMIERO DOLOMITI - is organized by A.C.D. Pedali di Marca, in collaboration with the Municipal Administration of Primiero San Martino di Castrozza, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters.
1.2 - Reference regulations
The MYTHOS - PRIMIERO DOLOMITI will take place in compliance with these regulations, the Official Programme of the event, and the decisions taken by the Competition Jury and the Organizing Committee. Though not expressly included in these regulations, the regulations and general rules of Italian Cycling Federation shall apply.
1.3 - Date and place of the event
The MYTHOS - PRIMIERO DOLOMITI will take place on SATURDAY 7TH SEPTEMBER 2024, with the departure and arrival of the race in Fiera di Primiero (TN), Italy.
1.4 - Starting order
08.30 - Start of the MYTHOS - PRIMIERO DOLOMITI - MARATHON race (Elite and Under 23, amateurs).
10.30 - Start of the MYTHOS - PRIMIERO DOLOMITI - CLASSIC race (Juniors and amateurs)
10.40 - Start of the MYTHOS - PRIMIERO DOLOMITI - EASY race (amateurs) + e-BIKE (amateurs).
Entry to the starting grids is allowed 20 minutes before the scheduled time for the particular starting bracket (e.g. departure at 08:30, grid entry allowed at 08:10).
Starting from a grid other than the one assigned, without the written authorization of the Organizing Committee, shall lead to automatic exclusion from the race classification.
Art.2 – PARTICIPATION
2.1 - MYTHOS - PRIMIERO DOLOMITI - MARATHON race
Participation in the MYTHOS - PRIMIERO DOLOMITI - MARATHON race is open to U.C.I./F.C.I card-carrying members for the year 2024, and to organizations affiliated with the Italian Cycling Federation.
Envisaged categories: Elite M/F and Under 23 M/F; EliteSport M1, M2, M3, M4, M5, M6, M7 + MW, SW (for the national body age group categories).
Participation in the MYTHOS - PRIMIERO DOLOMITI - MARATHON race for non-members (adults, of both sexes) is allowed only on the issue of a day pass and presentation of a competition medical certificate.
The day pass must be requested exclusively from EVODATA at segreteria@evodata.it.it at the additional cost of Euro 15.00.
2.2 - MYTHOS - PRIMIERO DOLOMITI - CLASSIC race
Participation in the MYTHOS - PRIMIERO DOLOMITI - CLASSIC race is open to F.C.I. card-carrying members for the year 2024, and to organizations affiliated with the Italian Cycling Federation.It is also open to all those, of both sexes, who have reached the age of 18, who will be able to present a certificate of fitness to practice non-competitive sports, according to the Ministerial Decree of 18/02/82 and / or the D.M. 24/04/13, valid as of 09/09/2023., which will guarantee daily insurance coverage.
Envisaged categories: Juniors M/F, EliteSport M1, M2, M3, M4, M5, M6, M7 + MW, SW, (for the national body age group categories), Hobby.
2.3 - Percorso MYTHOS – PRIMIERO DOLOMITI – SHORT
Participation in the MYTHOS - PRIMIERO DOLOMITI - EASY race is open to adults, of both sexes, card-carrying members of F.C.I. and of bodies affiliated with the Italian Cycling Federation for the year 2024. In addition, it is open to all those, of both sexes, who have reached the age of 18 with the declaration of consent that will guarantee daily insurance coverage.
Expected categories: EliteSport, M1, M2, M3, M4, M5, M6, M7+ MW, SW, (for the national body age group categories), Hobby
2.4 - MYTHOS - PRIMIERO DOLOMITI - eBIKE races
Participation in the MYTHOS - PRIMIERO DOLOMITI CLASSIC and SHORT races is also open to e-bikes, only for adults, of both sexes, card-carrying members of F.C.I. and of bodies affiliated with the Italian Cycling Federation for the year 2024, and non-card-carriers with the declaration of consent that will guarantee daily insurance coverage.
Single Hobby category not giving the event an amateur-competitive nature.
2.5- Youth categories
Participation is not permitted in the Giovanissimi (Very Young), Esordienti (Novice) and Allievi (Pupil) categories.
2.6- Subdivision into categories
As per F.C.I. Off-road Regulations 2024.
Art.3 – REGISTRATION
3.1 - Registration opening
Registrations are open from 08/12/2023 to 05/09/2024, subject to the availability of entries.
3.2 - Availability of entries
The maximum number of entries allowed is 2,000. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to increase this number in favour of Open and wild card athletes, by invitation. The Organizing Committee may, at any time, refuse registrations, even if the maximum limit of 2,000 athletes has not been reached.
3.3 -Participation fee
The participation fee is set according to the following criteria::

COMPETITIVE CATEGORIES
- Elite - €25.00 when checking cards
- Under 23 - promotional free
- Juniores - free promotional offer by virtue of the national DJ CUP circuit
In case of cancellation or suspension of the event due to force majeure not attributable to the organizer, the participation fee will. not be refunded.
3.4 – Additional paid MySDAM services
- GPS live tracking service: an additional service selectable by the participant on registration, which uses the EVODATA app for tracking via the participant’s mobile phone, improving safety and allowing family members to follow the progress of the participant via a dedicated link. The cost for the participant is Euro 2.90, including VAT (optional and additional to the registration fee).
3.5 - How to register
Participants can register by visiting the “Online registration” section of the website www.mythosprimiero.com, and completing there the registration procedure
3.6 - Fattore K
F.C.I. affiliated bodies must register their athletes through the federation IT system, using the race codes defined by the Italian Cycling Federation. The race can be easily found via the link “races” and by entering the number “Race Id”” in the appropriate field. Failure to register through the federation system will result in failure to be admitted to the race.
For National Council affiliated bodies, it is sufficient to follow the registration procedure indicated in the above Article 3.4.
Please note that participation is by invitation: failure to pay the registration fee will, therefore, preclude participation.
3.7 - Participant substitution
It is possible to substitute a participant with another only if the registration has been properly transferred by communicating all the relevant data tosegreteria@evodata.it . An administration fee of Euro 10.00 must be paid for this change.
The deadline for any substitutions is 31/08/2024.
3.8 - Participation cancellation
If a registered participant is unable to participate in the event, the registration fee will not be refunded. If cancellation is received at segreteria@evodata.it by 31.07.2023 the participation fee (Euro 20.00) only will be considered valid for registration in the 2025 edition of the event, but shall not be transferable to another participant.
Cancellation for health reasons is accepted until 05/09/2024, but accompanied by medical documentation and / or medical records.
3.9 - Checks and claims
The lists of registered participants will be periodically updated on the website www.mythosprimiero.com For checks and claims, you may also contact segreteria@evodata.it .
3.10 - Change of race
It is possible to change the chosen race, subject to the availability of bibs. An administration fee of Euro 10.00 must be paid for this change.
The deadline for changing race is 31/08/2024.
3.11 - Card checks
The checking of the cards of athletes in competitive categories falls under the responsibility of the Race Commissioners.
. The checking of the cards of the athletes of the amateur categories falls under the responsibility of the Organizing Committee. Any special cases reported will be assessed by the Commissioner Panel.
. The checking of cards will take place at the Race Secretariat, at the Palestra Vallombrosa - Via Montegrappa - Fiera di Primiero at the address of Palestra Vallombrosa - Via Montegrappa - Fiera di Primiero - Transacqua, according to the following timetable:
Friday 06.09.2024 / from 15.00 to 18.00
Saturday 07.09.2024 / from 06.30 to 09.30
The checking of athletes’ cards competitive categories (Elite and Under 23, Juniors) will take place only on Friday 06/09/2024 from 15:00 to 18:00.
Art.4 – RACE
4.1 - Route characteristics
MYTHOS - PRIMIERO DOLOMITI MARATHON Elite and Under 23 / Master: distance 82.1 km / elevation gain 3,400 m.
MYTHOS - PRIMIERO DOLOMITI CLASSIC Juniors / Masters / Hobby: distance 56.3 km / elevation gain 2,110 m.
MYTHOS - PRIMIERO DOLOMITI EASY Master / Hobby: distance 42.8 km / elevation gain 1,480 m.
4.2 - Starting grids
The starting grids will be defined on the basis of the chronological order of registration.
Athletes who start on the wrong grid will be disqualified.
4.3 - Refreshment points
There will be refreshment points along the route. Their number and location will be announced on the website www.mythosprimiero.com.
4.4 - Timing
Timing will be managed by EVODATA.
4.5 - Checkpoints
Checkpoints will be placed at the start, finish and along the route. Failure to pass through even just one of the checkpoints will result in exclusion from the ranking.
4.6 - Maximum time limits for passing checkpoints
Along the routes there will be certain checkpoints with maximum time limits:
MALGA CES at 12:30 - Marathon km. 25.0
DISMONI at 16.00 - Marathon km. 67,6 – Classic Km. 41,9 - Easy km. 34,0
. Athletes who cross the pre-established points beyond the time limit will have their race number withdrawn, and will have to leave the race route.
The finish line will close at 17:30. The maximum times for finishing the individual races are:
MYTHOS - PRIMIERO DOLOMITI MARATHON race - maximum time 8 hours 30 minutes.
MYTHOS - PRIMIERO DOLOMITI CLASSIC race - maximum time 7 hours 00 minutes.
MYTHOS - PRIMIERO DOLOMITI EASY race - maximum time 6 hours 50 minutes.
4.7 - Mechanical assistance
A mechanical assistance service will be located in the start/finish area.
Reserved areas will also be positioned along the route for refuelling and authorized technical assistance managed by the teams. These will be clearly marked and numbered, and closed to the public, so that only authorized persons with accreditation will be able to access them.
4.8 - Authorized technical assistance
The authorized technical assistance during the race consists in the repair or replacement of all bicycle components except the frame.
It is forbidden to change entire bicycles, and the competitor must cross the finish line with the same number assigned at the start.
It will be possible to carry out technical assistance only in the indicated areas, which be marked in a box outside the race course, so as not to obstruct the passage of competitors. The material and tools useful for repairs must be placed in the marked areas.
The repair and replacement of certain bike parts may be carried out by the individual rider, or with the help of a teammate, a team mechanic, or by neutral assistance that may be present.
In addition to that in the marked areas, technical assistance is also authorized outside these areas only between competitors belonging to the same team or having the same representative. Competitors may carry tools and spare parts with them provided that these do not constitute a danger to the individual athlete or to others.
Refuelling of athletes is allowed only in areas marked as refreshment/assistance.
4.9 - Competition Jury
The Competition Jury for the MYTHOS - PRIMIERO DOLOMITI will be announced over the coming months.
Art.5 - RANKINGS & PRIZES
5.1 - Ranking qualification
All the athletes, competitors and amateurs, participating in the various races, who complete their entire course within the set maximum time limits, displaying their front and back numbers legibly and correctly, and having their timing chip correctly placed, will qualify for ranking.
Crossing the finish line without having correctly navigated the entirety of one’s own race course shall lead to communication of the infringement to the jury in charge, who will take appropriate measures.
Any competitor slower than the time limits at checkpoints will be excluded from the race, will have their race number withdrawn, and will have to leave the course immediately.
Competitors withdrawn from the race in application of the above rule will be classified on the finish sheet according to the order in which they left the course.
5.2 - Individual rankings
The individual rankings will be drawn up on the basis of race time, and not on the basis of order of arrival at the finish. The rankings will be published in the press, and on the website www.mythosprimiero.com.
5.3 - MYTHOS - PRIMIERO DOLOMITI MARATHON Open Race Prizes
The first 3 overall winners (M/F) will be awarded a trophy during the Flower Ceremony.
There will be cash prizes as per FCI tables, and prizes in kind for those classified from 1st to 10th place in the Elite M/F rankings and for those classified from 1st to 5th place in the Under 23 M/F rankings.
5.4 - MYTHOS - PRIMIERO DOLOMITI MARATHON Masters Race Prizes
The first 5 overall winners (M/F) be awarded with prizes in kind. These prizes will remain available for collection after 15:00 until 18:00, at the Race Secretariat at the Palestra Vallombrosa - Via Montegrappa - Fiera di Primiero.
5.5 - MYTHOS - PRIMIERO DOLOMITI CLASSIC Open Race Prizes
There will be cash prizes as per FCI tables, and prizes in kind, for those classified from 1st to 5th place in the Juniors M/F rankings.
These prizes will remain available for collection after 15:00 until 18:00, at the Race Secretariat, at the Palestra Vallombrosa - Via Montegrappa - Fiera di Primiero.
5.6 - MYTHOS - PRIMIERO DOLOMITI CLASSIC Masters Race Prizes
The first 3 overall winners (M/F) be awarded with prizes in kind. These prizes will remain available for collection after 15:00 until 18:00, at the Race Secretariat at the Palestra Vallombrosa - Via Montegrappa - Fiera di Primiero.
5.7 - MYTHOS – PRIMIERO DOLOMITI EASY Masters Race Prizes
The first 3 winners of each M / F category will receive prizes in kind. These prizes remain available for collection after 3.00 pm and until 6.00 pm at the Race Secretariat inside the Palestra Vallombrosa - Via Montegrappa - Fiera di Primiero.
About the e-bikes dedicated route, because it is not considered a competitive but only a tourist route, there are no individual rankings or awards but there will be only the assignment of individual racing time.
5.8 – Souvenir medal
MYTHOS PRIMIERO DOLOMITI has had a commemorative medal of the event minted, which will be given to all athletes as soon as they cross the finish line. It will be a unique object for participants to treasure, both for its artistic value and the symbolic achievement it represents.
5.9 - Collection of prizes
The Flower Ceremony will be held in the finish area, while other prize ceremonies will take place at the Palestra Vallombrosa - Via Montegrappa - Fiera di Primiero (adjacent to the post-event Pasta Party area). The cash prize money and prizes in kind will be delivered to the winning individuals at the race secretariat, immediately after the award ceremony, and, in any case, from 15:00.
All prizes, net of the applicable withholding tax as per Italian Tax Regulations, will be paid only and exclusively to those entitled upon presentation of a valid identification document. Collections must be made in person by the individual, and, therefore, collection by proxy or requests to send by post will not be accepted.
Unclaimed prizes will be donated to charity.
5.10 - Certificate of participation
A personalized certificate of participation can be downloaded from the website of the company providing the timing service. The certificate will be available only to athletes who have reached the finish line and are properly ranked.
Art.6 - SAFETY MEASURES
6.1 - General rules
Slower competitors must facilitate overtaking for faster athletes. Passages that are not clearly visible must be approached at a sensible speed. When descending, never exceed your technical capabilities. Any technical issues with bikes must be resolved outside of the race track. Anyone who does not comply with these rules will be disqualified immediately.
6.2 - MTB type
The MYTHOS PRIMIERO DOLOMITI is a mountain bike race, and you may only take part in it with a suitable bike in an adequate state of maintenance.
6.3 - Helmets
The use of an appropriately fastened helmet approved for cycling is mandatory.
6.4 - First aid
First aid is guaranteed by ambulances, doctors and nurses, fixed first aid points, one of which is permanent located in the finish area, a mobile service with motorcycles and specialized personnel, and fixed and mobile radio assistance points.
6.5 - Course clearance service
Athletes withdrawn and unable to return to the starting point will be assisted and transported to the finish by service vehicles in technically feasible times.
6.6 - Insurance
The event is insured as per F.C.I. regulations.
6.7- Route signage
The route will be viable after downloading the GPX track from the website.
Some sections will be closed to the public, and will be open only for the day of the race (deviations will be signposted).
Challenging points such as technical and steep descents, curves, refreshment points, etc., will be marked with special, clearly identifiable signage.
Distances will be marked in descending order (km from the finish), and, at the start of the most demanding and important climbs, signage will indicate the characteristics of the climb (e.g. distance, elevation gain, slope).
The complete and definitive signage of the route will be effectuated from the Thursday preceding the race.
6.8 - Road signalling of the cycling event
A forerunning motorbike with a “Cycling race start” sign and a rear-running motorbike with “Cycling race end” sign are envisaged. The competition will take place partly on public and private roads. It is, therefore, everyone’s duty to observe the rules of the highway code, as well as UCI and FCI regulations on the subject.
6.9 - Follow vehicles
The only vehicles authorized to follow the race are the designated and marked vehicles of the organizers and jury. Private vehicles are not allowed to follow the races.
6.10 - Environmental protection
Refuelling of athletes is allowed only in areas marked as refreshment/assistance. It is strictly forbidden to litter along the route. Litter must be disposed of in the bins placed after the refreshment points. It is also forbidden to leave the marked track. Any failure to comply with the above will result in immediate disqualification.
